I found this old photo from 2003 when I was training in Shinjuku Center Building. From the smoking room, I could see the Shinjuku main avenue intersection and watched it change with the seasons.
After a few weeks, still got no computer to make my blog (my computer drowned in the last typhoon)...sniff...rest in peace my beeping buddy.
AAAAAnyway...here are a few photgraphy projects I've come up in the past 2 weeks.

6 Underground has always been a comfortable place to play in. Not only is the place intimate and cozy, the service and management staff are very nice and accomodating to both the artists and the patrons.
Before, when 6 Underground was still in the basement of a building in Makati, we frequent that bar because we used to play a lot there... and also some of our friends who are in bands plays in that venue. When they had the recording studio before, we recorded our demos through live recordings.
Back then we were in the punk-ska band 'Green Leafy Veggie'. From there, Me and guitarist Paulo formed HedgeZero. Guitarist Richard co-formed an emo-punk band. And my brother, Jonathan, becomes the drummer for I-ray. We have no news of our vocalist Brex.
We still treasure those memories, time and energy spent in that cozy basement bar in Makati.
Looking at my old pictures, I happened to come across the time when I acted upon my frustration for carving. It pathetic by myself, but with the help of my wife's grandfather, who was alive that time, he helped me make the staff better.
I was aiming for a cross between a fish and a dragon...a weird combination that I thought of as I saw this lang piece of wood.
Unfortunately, it wasn't finished. I looked back at the storage we shared back then, it wasn't there.
Big Sky Mind is no stranger to the art and music scene. This quaint, unnoticable glass fronted building along E. Rodriguez has showcased a lot of local underground talent in almost all facets of art.
Big Sky was started by a group friends from UP Fine Arts as a place for their peers to hang out. It then blossomed to a venue to launch independent artists and the like. The bar is fronted by the fierce looking but friendly Hank.
I found a cd that contains broadcasts from channel 21 about a bar tour that we used to play in while in my former punk-ska band 'Green Leafy Veggie'.
Coincidentally, we also went here last July 25 after our gig in 6UG in Pasig. It seems a lot has changed the last time I was there, mostly because of the new set of mobile installations and artwork displayed. But the ambience stays the same...warm, cozy and friendly.
I found this old pic from 2008. It was one of earlier gigs with Rubber Duckie Music at Al's Bar in Paranaque.
Our vocalist, AJ, was sick that week and Jan, one of the senior partners of Rubber Duckie, volunteered to temporarily accept the vocal responsibilities.
He did his vox duties well as we later found out he was trained in Ryan Cayabyab's music school (surprise, surprise... I wonder why he didn't pursue singing).
For the final 2 songs of the set, AJ got enough strength to close the act.
